ABBYY Lingvo is the most popular dictionary software in Russia that has won the hearts of five million users because of its comprehensive, trustworthy and up-to-date dictionaries, instant translation features and ease of use.

As a whole, it contains 7,400,000 entries in 128 dictionaries and provides translation of words and word combinations from Russian to English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Latin and back. Both Lingvo 12 dictionaries now include the Collins English Dictionary, the 8th edition (120,000 entries), an authoritative explanatory dictionary of the English language published by HarperCollins Publishers in 2006. With Lingvo 12, you can get instant translations of unfamiliar words when browsing the Web, reading e-mails or texts on-screen. Simply point the cursor to a word and its translation will pop up. If need detailed information about the word, including all its meanings, translations and usage examples, press Alt, Ctrl or Shift key on your keyboard and while holding it down click on the word you are interested in. Alternatively, you can select the word and press Ctrl+Ins+Ins or Ctrl+C+C.

The number of connections supported by the server on which the administrative installation point will be located must not be less than the total number of Lingvo 12 users (for concurrent licenses only). Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, for example, supports only eleven connections at a time - this means that Lingvo cannot be installed on more than eleven workstations.
